Handcrafted-Access in Hosford-Abernethy

Older Portland homes often reveal unexpected surprises once the trim comes off, and this Hosford-Abernethy project was no exception. The existing front door measured 74” wide, but once the surrounding material was removed, the true rough opening measured 79”. The new door the client selected was only available at 69”, and the wall itself was more than an inch out of plumb from exterior to interior.
