Big Sky(lights) in Bull Mountain

This Bull Mountain project brought in a dramatic amount of natural light by adding a pair of custom-framed skylights to a large cedar-covered outdoor structure. The existing ceiling didn’t provide any overhead illumination, so we opened the roof, framed in new light wells, and integrated the skylights cleanly into the cedar paneling for a seamless, built-in appearance.

The new openings brighten the entire 35'x17' space, highlight the warmth of the wood, and create an inviting connection to the sky above—turning a covered area into a light-filled, year-round gathering spot.
